Next Steps Registration Form


The Audition will take place on the morning of Thursday, January 16th in the Leah Smith Hall.  We will email all participants the audition session time.  All participants will sign in before the audition in the School of Music Room 2201 (Choral Rehearsal Room).
Auditions may consist of: Acting sixty (60) seconds, Singing sixty (60) seconds, or Acting & Singing (both) presented at the same time ninety (90) seconds (timer will be in the room, time begins on first acting moment).  An audition accompanist is provided. Sheet music in the correct key (the pianist will not transpose / no lead sheets) and mounted on stiff cardboard must be provided by auditionee. Recorded accompaniment, a capella singing, and self-accompaniment are not permitted. A rigid chair shall be provided for use by the auditionee if desired. Hand props of any type are NOT permitted.


Companies will post callbacks by 12:00pm outside of the Leah Smith Hall.  Students will go to company’s room and sign up for a time for the callback.



Some of the companies participating in Next Steps are only doing interviews.  Students will be sent to these rooms based on their registration and the company’s availability.  Company may have a signup sheet for times on the door. These interviews will probably start before 1:00pm..
